Discover the yawning chasm that was once Blackgang Chine. Learn about some of the ships that were wrecked along this coast. See the crowds of Edwardians enjoying Ventnor’s beach and pier. Peer at the baronial interiors of Steephill Castle, a mansion that even had its own indoor swimming pool. There are fascinating working models of the two railway stations that once saw hordes of holidaymakers arriving in Ventnor and the Undercliff in summer.

The Ventnor Heritage Centre is also home to the Ventnor & District Local History Society, which has a unique collection of photographs, documents and artefacts, and publishes a range of bookes, pamphlets and town trails.
