Description: The Housing and Family Support Service offers free and impartial housing advice to anyone who requires it, regardless of their tenure or status, or whether they occupy accommodation or provide it.
Whether you own your home and are having difficulties with your mortgage or are renting and need advice on your rights and options, we aim to help.
The Housing and Family Support Service is available during office hours to discuss your situation in detail and offer personalised advice. You can contact the service by completing an Housing Initial Enquiry Form or you can telephone 01983 824030 and complete and Initial Enquiry Form over the phone. Once submitted a Homelessness Prevention Officer will contact you to discuss your housing situation and provide advice and assistance appropriate to your needs working with you to try and resolve your housing situation.
If you need more specialised legal or debt advice, we can make a referral to another service who can offer more detailed help and assistance.
So, if you have a housing issue, no matter how big or small, please contact us as soon as you can for some advice. Early intervention gives us more time to be able to help resolve your housing problem.
